Founded by Bruce Cohn in 1984 in the heart of Sonoma Valley, B.R. Cohn Winery is renowned for producing balanced, elegant wines that maintain a standard of excellence from year to year.

Cohn purchased the property in 1974 and names it Olive Hill Vineyards, after the rare 140 year old Picholine olive trees imported from France in the mid 1800s, that surround the property. The microclimates Olive Hill Estate experiences make the property ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, resulting in wines of great intensity. Situated above natural underground hot springs and watered by an artesian well, Olive Hill Estate enjoys warm soils and a naturally frost free environment during the growing season. Gentle ocean breezes create cool night time temperatures, while warmer than average days result in an extended growing season.


The tasting room was the original house on the property and Bruce Cohn’s former home. The house was used as a stagecoach stop for Wells Fargo, where horses on their route from Santa Rosa to Sonoma stopped to be watered.

Following a millennium-old tradition, our premium White Balsamic Vinegar of Modena begins with the juice of the Trebbiano grape, which is simmered in copper pots, aged and then finished in light oak barrels. The result is a 12-year-old aged White Balsamic that is light, fruity and zesty on the palate.

 

Acidity: 6.0% (60 grain)

A wonderful balance of fresh berries and the crisp, clean flavor of champagne. To make this best-selling vinegar, we start with high-quality sparkling wine. We age it in oak barrels using the 500-year-old traditional Orleans method, and then blend it with 100% natural raspberry juice selected for its sweetness.

Acidity: 6.5% (65 grain)
